Jung Hae-in Confirms 'Love Virus' With Shin Se-kyung: 'This Time It's Proper Romance, No Action'
Jung Hae-in revealed on the SBS variety show 'Tteummanyamyeon' that he's about to begin filming 'Love Virus' alongside Shin Se-kyung, describing it as 'proper romance, no action.' The romantic comedy pairs two high-achieving elites navigating the run-up to marriage after nine years together, directed by Kim Seok-yoon of 'My Liberation Notes' fame.

Jung Hae-in couldn't hide his excitement about what's coming next. Appearing on the SBS variety program Tteummanyamyeon on the 18th alongside actor Heo Sung-tae, he confirmed that his summer isn't exactly a vacation: filming is already around the corner.
When the hosts asked about his holiday plans, Jung Hae-in replied simply, "I'm going into production now," before adding, "It's called Love Virus, with Se-kyung." Host Yoo Jae-suk responded with mock envy: "Our Hae-in is always doing romance."
Jung Hae-in seemed genuinely pleased about that. "This time it's proper romance, romance. No action," he said, before noting with obvious relief: "It's been so long. I don't have to wear heavy makeup and prosthetics, I'm so happy about that." Fans of his recent projects will understand the feeling; his last several roles leaned hard into physical and period-drama territory.
Love Virus is a romantic comedy about two high-earning, elite professionals who, after nine years of dating, start giving each other what the show calls a "preventive shot", essentially stress-testing the relationship before walking down the aisle. The premise has the kind of sharp comic energy that suits both leads well.
Directing is Kim Seok-yoon, whose track record includes My Liberation Notes and You Are My Spring, projects known for their emotional precision and understated warmth. His involvement immediately lifts expectations for how the material will be handled.
The conversation also touched on Jung Hae-in's personal life off set. He mentioned that his younger brother, seven years his junior, currently works as his manager. "My mom basically created my personal assistant," he joked, before adding, warmly: "We both put in a lot of effort. When things are good between us, they're really good."
With Love Virus now confirmed to be entering production, it looks like Jung Hae-in and Shin Se-kyung are reuniting on screen for the first time in years, and if the director's past work is any guide, the chemistry will have room to breathe.
