The former After School member and actress shared a set of Ferragamo campaign shots on the 28th, captioning them simply with the brand name. In the photos, she wears a sleeveless leather dress, projects full-on charisma, and, the detail every Korean outlet immediately clocked, her lips are visibly back to their original shape.

What the fuss was actually about

Netflix's Scandal, which dropped on the 18th, casts Nana as Heeyeon, a chaste widow in the Joseon period. Almost immediately after release, a section of viewers complained that her noticeably fuller lips pulled them out of the period setting. The criticism was blunt: people said they were watching her lips instead of her performance.

Nana addressed it head-on on the 22nd via a fan communication platform. "If my lips made viewers uncomfortable, that's my fault," she wrote. "My personal choice was not the right one for an actor." She added that she felt worse for her fans, who had to watch the negative commentary pile up, and promised to do better.

The Ferragamo shoot, posted just days after that apology, does a lot of work without saying anything. The all-black look, sleeveless dress, heels, small clutch, no heavy accessories, frames her face cleanly, and her short hair pulls attention straight to features she clearly isn't trying to hide.
