A roughly 10-second video of women trading punches and kicks on a hallway floor is being pinned on aespa's Seattle concert, and nothing in it confirms the link. Whether the women were fans, or whether the clip was even filmed on show day, remains unverified.

The video began circulating on the 15th (local time) on Reddit and other social platforms and communities. It was reportedly shot at Climate Pledge Arena, where aespa played on the 9th. In it, several women are tangled on the ground, grabbing hair, swinging fists and kicking. Onlookers stand back and watch. Nobody visibly steps in.

The cause of the fight is unknown. So is who these women are.

How the internet took it

Reactions split fast. Some commenters asked what could possibly justify a fight at a concert, or whether the clip was real at all. Others went for jokes, riffing on aespa song titles like "Drama" and "Next Level." One joked that this is why they don't take their kids to K-pop shows.

On the Korean portal where the story was posted, the top comments went after the coverage instead. Readers told the outlet not to associate aespa with the people in the clip, questioned whether this was worth publishing, and called the headline setup clickbait. The most upvoted comment, at 268 likes, was a plain request to leave the group out of it. Fans clocked the framing before the facts had caught up.

Where the tour stands

aespa's world tour, "SYNK: PARALLEL LINE," is its fourth. It opened at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul and has covered Asia, South America and North America, with stops including Taipei, São Paulo, Santiago, Lima and Mexico City. In North America the group played Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle and Vancouver.

The North American leg is now finished. The tour resumes in January with a run of European dates. SM Entertainment, aespa's agency, has not commented on the video.
