Actor Ju Jin-mo Breaks 7-Year Career Hiatus with Hole-in-One and 50 Million Won Prize

Actor Ju Jin-mo made a surprising return to the spotlight with an incredible hole-in-one achievement after a seven-year career hiatus.

On April 12, a video titled "First Hole-in-One in Hong In-gyu Golf TV History!" was released on the YouTube channel 'Hong In-gyu Golf TV.' The video featured a golf match between a foursome including Sung Dae-hyun, Ju Jin-mo, and Kim Sung-soo, all accomplished celebrity golfers competing at a Chinese golf course for prize money.

During a Par 3 hole on the A Course's 7th hole, Ju Jin-mo's shot flew directly toward the pin, landed on the green, and rolled straight into the cup. The participants reacted with amazement, comparing it to a "slam dunk," and even Ju Jin-mo, who has previously recorded a hole-in-one on another golf broadcast, couldn't hide his shock.

MC Hong In-gyu, Hong Jae-kyung, Sung Dae-hyun, and Kim Sung-soo jumped in place with excitement upon witnessing the extraordinary shot. Ju Jin-mo, whose hands were trembling and could barely speak, shared, "I told my wife yesterday that I would get another hole-in-one, and I actually did it." He secured 50 million won in prize money.

Ju Jin-mo debuted with the 1999 film Dance Dance and has since appeared in numerous dramas including Temptation, Look Back in Anger, Queen of the Game, Bichwoomoo, Dream, Empress Ki, My Dear Eun-dong, Woman with a Briefcase, Bad Guys: Reign of Chaos, and Big Issue, as well as films such as Happy End, Real Situation, Wani and Joonha, Petty Woman, Forbidden Dream, Gabby, and Friends 2. He has been on a seven-year career break since SBS's Big Issue in 2019.
