TWICE's Nayeon Wore Hanbok for the First Time in 10 Years to Promote Her YouTube
TWICE's Nayeon launched her personal YouTube channel, IM NAYEON, with a charming office tour at JYP HQ. Dressed in a sky-blue hanbok she hadn't worn in a decade, she went floor-to-floor handing out rice cakes and asking colleagues to subscribe.

TWICE's Nayeon spent the 24th in full Chuseok mode, and she brought the whole JYP Entertainment building along for the ride. To mark the launch of her personal YouTube channel, IM NAYEON, she dressed in a sky-blue hanbok and walked the offices handing out songpyeon rice cakes while asking every employee she could find to hit subscribe.
In the video, titled something along the lines of "Get Rich This Chuseok! Went to JYP to Promote, Rice Cakes in Hand," Nayeon noted with a slightly startled look that it had been about ten years since she'd last worn a traditional hanbok like this. Before the real promotion started, she sampled one of the rice cakes and immediately approved: "This is delicious. You have to eat this right now."

Introvert on a mission
What made the video such a warm watch was how transparent Nayeon was about the whole thing costing her energy. As she made her way from team to team repeating "Please subscribe," she narrated her own state out loud: "Currently draining stamina in real time." When staff greeted her with cheers and applause, she went visibly shy. "I've never seen this kind of reaction from people who actually work at the company," she said, looking genuinely flustered.
JYP had quietly gone all out for the occasion. Banners celebrating the channel launch were hung up around the building, and when Nayeon stumbled across them she looked more baffled than touched. "What is this. Why are they doing this," she said. There was also a small moment of accidental comedy when she spotted a photo card display she assumed was of her, only to realize it was someone else entirely. "Oh, that's not me," she said, and moved on.

She covered the canteen, the cafe, and the elevator foyer before finally making her way to the executive floor. Her reasoning there was very Nayeon: "It's Chuseok, so I came to bow and greet the most senior people in our company." Finding the offices empty, she bowed deeply to the vacant room anyway and carried on.
At the end of the video she turned to the camera with the energy of someone who had just completed a very specific kind of ordeal. "Please subscribe to my YouTube, like the video, and turn on notifications," she said. "I hope you all have an abundant Chuseok." Asked afterward whether she was tired, she answered without missing a beat: "Yes."
The whole hour is a good illustration of why fans have been asking for exactly this kind of solo content. Nayeon describing herself as a "powerful introvert who pulled off something huge" landed as the most relatable possible caption for what the video actually showed: someone who clearly wanted to do a good job, found the whole thing genuinely nerve-wracking, and did it anyway in a very nice hanbok.
