DOK2 Drops a Birthday Love Song for Lee Hi and the Kiss Photo Did Its Job
Rapper DOK2 released a free YouTube love song for Lee Hi's birthday on the 23rd and posted couple photos, including one of Lee Hi kissing his cheek. The gesture landed just days after a concert moment sparked marriage speculation.

Rapper DOK2 released a birthday love song for girlfriend Lee Hi on the 23rd and posted the kind of couple photos that make a publicist sweat, all while marriage rumors from a Seoul concert were barely a week old.
He shared the track, titled You Are My Hi, to YouTube for free, captioning his post: "September 23rd, dedicated to my love, my beautiful dolphin Hi. HAPPY BORN DAY 2 MY LADY. Thank you for being born. Love you so much. Everyone please wish Hi a happy birthday." The pet name "dolphin Hi" and the unfiltered capital-letter energy are on-brand for DOK2, who has never been subtle about this relationship.

The photos he posted alongside the song tell their own story. One is a close-up selfie of the two together; another shows Lee Hi pressing a kiss to his cheek. Both of them look relaxed in a way that reads less like a PR-approved couple shot and more like someone's camera roll.

Why the timing matters
This comes five days after DOK2's September 19th performance at the Super Concert: Special in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, where he grabbed Lee Hi's hand, dropped to one knee, and sang to her onstage. Fan footage circulated fast, and the word "proposal" followed almost immediately. Neither of them has clarified what that moment was.
So a surprise love song and a birthday kiss photo, posted four days later, did not exactly quiet things down.

From collaborators to co-founders
DOK2 (36, real name Lee Joonkyung) and Lee Hi (30) have been public since March, when both posted photos and captions with the kind of language, "TO MY LADY" and "MY ONE AND ONLY DOK2," that made denials impossible. They reportedly began dating in 2022.

Their connection goes back further than that. In 2016, they worked together on the MBC Infinite Challenge history hip-hop project, where Lee Hi featured on a track called Cheoreom alongside Yoo Jae-suk and DOK2. Years of musical overlap eventually became something else.
By this year they had co-founded the label 808 HI RECORDINGS, built around hip-hop and R&B, and released the duet You & Me in March. Releasing a couple's song the same week they went public was either very deliberate or extremely convenient timing. Probably both.
The birthday post is the latest in a steady stream of public affection from both sides. Whatever the Ulaanbaatar moment was, DOK2 is clearly not planning to explain it.
