OMONAR

NewJeans' Danielle now has over 500,000 YouTube subscribers and 4.73 million views on her debut video, roughly one month after launching her channel. The legal bill from ADOR currently sits at approximately 33 billion won (around $24 million USD). Both of those things are true at the same time.

On the 25th, Danielle posted her second video, titled Follow Me to Brisbane, showing a visit to her grandmother's home in Australia and a snorkeling trip along the Queensland coast. Casual, warm, zero label fingerprints. Within five hours of going live, the video was closing in on 300,000 views.

Her first upload, detour, dropped about three weeks prior and set the pace: 4.73 million views and a subscriber count that crossed half a million before the second video even arrived. For context, most solo K-pop creators take months to hit numbers like that. Danielle got there in a single upload cycle.

The lawsuit in the background

ADOR terminated Danielle's exclusive contract in December of last year. Since then, both sides have been in active litigation. ADOR filed a damages suit naming Danielle, her family, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin as the parties primarily responsible for the contract dispute. The original claim was approximately 43 billion won; it has since been adjusted down to roughly 33.09 billion won.

ADOR's core allegation is that Danielle was the only NewJeans member to pursue independent music and commercial activities without going through the label. The agency also claims she entered into a dual contract without disclosing it, and that while the other members cooperated in unwinding the problematic agreement once it was flagged, Danielle and her family never acknowledged the contract's existence at all.

Danielle has not addressed the lawsuit publicly, and her YouTube content gives no indication she intends to. The Brisbane video is breezy and personal, the kind of thing that builds a parasocial following fast. Whether the channel is a deliberate image move or just a young woman posting travel footage, the timing is doing its own talking.
