TWICE's 11th Anniversary Fan Party Caps Attendance at 750: ONCEs Are Furious
JYP Entertainment announced a fan party for TWICE's 11th anniversary, but the details sparked immediate backlash. Only 750 fans total will be admitted across three sessions, the venue hasn't been revealed, and each session is estimated to run just 40 minutes.
JYP Entertainment announced a fan party to mark TWICE's 11th debut anniversary, and the fan community's reaction was immediate: 750 total seats. Not per session. Total.
The event, titled Once upon a Thri11, will take place on October 17 in Seoul. Three sessions, 250 fans per session, selected by lucky draw from the official ONCE fan club. The venue hasn't been disclosed yet and will apparently only be shared with the people who get in, fewer than two weeks out from the date.
The numbers that set everyone off
Fans did the math quickly, and it's bleak. Based on the scheduled entry times and the gaps between sessions, each meetup is estimated to run roughly 40 minutes. For context: this is the group's 11th anniversary, celebrating a world tour that spanned 44 regions and 81 shows over the course of a year.
The eligibility rules added another layer of frustration. Attendance is restricted to ONCE 5th Generation fan club members, a membership tier that opened for recruitment in April 2025, and only those aged 15 or older. New fans and younger ONCEs are shut out entirely.
Reactions on theqoo ranged from resigned to genuinely baffled. "250 people... are they joking?" one commenter wrote. Others pointed out the event appears to have been arranged at the last minute, noting the venue secrecy as evidence JYP booked something small and is quietly hoping nobody clocks the scale until it's too late. One fan put it plainly: "It feels like they weren't planning on doing this but decided otherwise last minute."

A pattern fans have been tracking
This isn't the first time JYP's Division 3, which manages TWICE, has drawn heat for undersized fan event venues. The 8th and 9th anniversary fan meetings were held at Olympic Hall over two shows in a single day. The 10th anniversary dropped further to a single show at Hwajeong Gymnasium. The 11th caps at 750 people, no public venue, a 40-minute window.
The trajectory is hard to argue with, and fans aren't being quiet about it. "Seems like they are not even planning on using TWICE for money anymore," read one of the top comments. Another: "I guess they don't even want to practice for the fan meeting anymore."
To be fair, the anniversary isn't entirely bare. A pop-up store is scheduled to run from the 17th to the 25th, and on October 16, JYP will release a special vinyl album featuring live performances from the final show of TWICE's This Is For world tour, the group's largest tour to date. But for fans hoping to actually be in the same room as the nine members, the math still doesn't work in their favor.
The lucky draw is open now. There are 750 spots.
