5 Months After Debut, UNCHILD Went Silent. Here's What Hi-Up Just Admitted
Hi-Up Entertainment has denied disbandment rumors surrounding rookie girl group UNCHILD, confirming a Q4 comeback is in the works with a date already set. The agency blamed internal restructuring for a communication gap that alarmed fans.

UNCHILD is not disbanding. Hi-Up Entertainment said so directly on the 29th, shutting down a wave of online rumors that had been building since the group's comeback was quietly shelved last month with no explanation.
The agency released a statement acknowledging that "some artist schedules and content production were inevitably disrupted during a period of internal operational restructuring." It apologized for the communication gap and asked fans for patience.
What actually happened
UNCHILD, a rookie girl group that debuted in April, had been promoting toward a comeback originally targeting the 2nd of this month. That date came and went without a word from Hi-Up. No rescheduling announcement, no statement, nothing. Fans started connecting dots they'd rather not connect.
The label's silence was the fuel. UNCHILD went from active comeback promotion to total quiet, and the gap was long enough for disbandment speculation to spread across fan communities online.
Where things stand now
Hi-Up confirmed that a Q4 comeback is planned and that a specific date has already been set internally, though it was not made public in the statement. The agency says it is "sequentially completing the necessary restructuring procedures for smooth artist activities."
Hi-Up's other act, STAYC, is finishing a tour schedule that runs through October. The two groups appear to be on different operational tracks right now, with STAYC's schedule intact while UNCHILD's was the one that got caught in the disruption.
Five months into their career is a rough time for a rookie group to go dark. UNCHILD's fans held on through the silence, and the label is now asking them to hold on a little longer. The Q4 window is tight, but a comeback date reportedly exists. Whether Hi-Up shares it before the rumors find new life is another question.
