IVE's six members are stepping into superhero territory for their next comeback, and the rollout is already moving fast. Label Starship Entertainment shared a full schedule poster across IVE's official social channels on the 29th, laying out a week-by-week countdown to the October 26 release of the new mini album Looks Can Kill.

The concept marks a deliberate shift for the group. Where earlier IVE eras leaned into Cupid mythology and magical-girl aesthetics, Looks Can Kill is framed as a spin-off project built around a 'Girl Hero' world, with An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo each taking on their own hero identity. Four concept photo versions are planned: GIRL HERO, HERO COMICS, HERO ON SET, and SPIN-OFF, each promising a different visual angle on this expanded universe.

The build-up

The schedule opens with the tracklist reveal on October 4, followed by two themed content drops: HERO IN EVERYWHERE on the 5th and POST CREDITS SCENE: GIRL HERO on the 6th. A fifth entry on the 30th was marked only with five stars, no title, no description, which is exactly the kind of gap that tends to send fan communities into their best detective work.

The more significant move comes on October 19, when IVE will drop the title track Looks Can Kill as a pre-release, a full week ahead of the complete album. It's an unusual sequencing choice that signals confidence in the lead single as a standalone statement, and music video teaser content is expected alongside it. A highlight medley will follow, building into the full October 26 drop.

IVE has consistently used each album cycle to introduce a new character concept rather than simply updating a sound, and the hero framing here feels like the most cinematic swing yet. Whether Looks Can Kill delivers on that scale is the question October 19 is going to start answering.
