aespa's 'Dirty Work' Earns Top International Design Award for Striking Visual Identity
aespa has won a Red Dot Design Award for their 'Dirty Work' single, taking home the main prize in the Product Design category. The win recognizes the group's bold packaging design and visual language that brings their futuristic brand into physical form.

aespa has claimed a major international design honor: the group's 'Dirty Work' single has won the Red Dot Design Award's top prize in the Product Design category, cementing their reputation as innovators beyond music.
Released in June 2023, 'Dirty Work' marked a creative leap for the group, translating aespa's signature futuristic aesthetic into tangible, tactile objects. The project weaves together themes of independence and unwavering resolve through carefully chosen visual elements, particularly a striking Blackletter typography paired with cross-shaped graphics that become integrated into the typeface itself.

The standout element was the album's tin case packaging, designed as what the team calls a "physical artifact" meant for daily use. Rather than a simple container, it functions as a portable embodiment of aespa's brand philosophy, marrying form and function in a way that resonates with design-conscious listeners.
This marks aespa's second major win at the Red Dot Awards. In 2022, they took home top honors in the Packaging UX category for their debut mini-album, 'Savage', a track record that underscores the group's deliberate approach to every element of their releases.
The Red Dot Design Award ranks among the world's most prestigious design competitions, sharing tier-one status with the iF Design Award and IDEA, and recognizing only projects that meet rigorous standards of creative excellence.
The recognition arrives as aespa gears up for a new comeback, with the group expected to return with fresh music next month.
