BTS has added three new South American shows to their ARIRANG world tour, bringing the total run to 85 concerts, the largest K-pop tour ever staged. Big Hit Music made the announcement on April 8th, confirming new dates in Lima, Peru; Santiago, Chile; and Buenos Aires, Argentina, all scheduled for October.

The expansion means BTS will become the first Korean artist ever to perform at Estadio El Campín in Bogotá, Colombia, and Estadio Único de La Plata in Buenos Aires. In Santiago, they will also make history as the first Korean act to headline a solo concert at Estadio Nacional.

Big Hit Music noted that this marks the first time BTS has visited Colombia, Peru, and Argentina as a complete group, adding that local fan anticipation has been running especially high. In Peru, fans have already been organizing community events ahead of the shows, including participating in a "Plant One Million Trees" campaign at the Machu Picchu historic reserve as a way of celebrating the group's arrival.

The tour, which features a fully 360-degree open stage inside stadiums, kicked off on April 9th at Goyang Stadium in South Korea. Demand has been extraordinary: 46 shows across Goyang, Tokyo, North America, and Europe are already sold out. Live Nation reported that the 41 North American and European dates alone generated sales of approximately 2.4 million tickets.

With three continents now confirmed and more than two dozen shows still ahead, the ARIRANG tour is shaping up to be a defining chapter in BTS's already remarkable live touring history.
