BIGBANG filled every seat at Taipei Dome for three straight nights, playing to roughly 100,000 people from the 9th to the 11th. The shows were the group's first solo concerts in Taiwan since 2016, and the extra seats added to the venue sold out as well.

The run was billed as BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR [XX : COSMOS] IN TAIPEI, and it opens the Asian leg of the tour. It also lands in the group's 20th-anniversary year: BIGBANG debuted in August 2006.

A hit parade with a live band

The set opened with "FANTASTIC BABY" and moved through "LOSER," "Haru Haru," "Lies" and "BANG BANG BANG," a run of songs that defined the second generation of K-pop. A live band backed the group, and the staging was described as lavish. For fans who grew up with these tracks, hearing them in a dome-sized room with live instrumentation is likely a big part of the appeal.

The members spoke to the crowd as well. They said they were happy to celebrate BIGBANG's 20th anniversary together with V.I.P, the fandom's name, and promised to do their best to repay the support.

What comes next

The tour moves to Singapore National Stadium on the 17th and 18th. Bangkok, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta are also on the schedule.

Over two decades, BIGBANG has built its reputation on songs including "Haru Haru," "FANTASTIC BABY," "BANG BANG BANG," "Lies," "Last Dance" and "Last Farewell." A full-house Taipei opening suggests demand for those songs hasn't faded in the region.
