Out of 300 music videos submitted worldwide, only 18 made the final list at Poland's Toruń Camerimage International Film Festival, and BTS is the only K-pop act among them. The group's "SWIM" has been nominated for Best Music Video at the festival's 34th edition.

The nomination was announced on the 19th (local time) as part of the festival's 2026 music video competition lineup. "SWIM" is the title track of BTS's fifth full-length album, ARIRANG.

The company it keeps is notable. BTS will compete against pop stars including Madonna, Ariana Grande and Harry Styles, a field that makes a single K-pop slot in the final 18 all the more conspicuous.

What Camerimage is

Launched in 1993, Toruń Camerimage is an international festival devoted to the visual side of film: cinematography and the art of the image. That focus makes a music video nomination here a nod to how the piece looks and is shot, rather than to chart performance.

The festival runs from the 7th to the 14th of next month in Toruń, Poland. Winners will be announced at the closing ceremony on the final day.
