Code Kunst Admits His Samsung Researcher Brother Will Win Their Mom's Favor
On an Epik High YouTube segment, Code Kunst revealed his younger brother is now studying at the University of Michigan, sponsored by his company. He also predicted, without much debate, that their mom would pick his brother as her favorite.

Code Kunst didn't even try to argue his case. Before dialing his mother on a recent Epik High YouTube segment, the producer stated flatly that she would choose his younger brother as her favorite child, and then proceeded to explain exactly why he was right.
The segment, posted on the 24th, brought Code Kunst together with Crush and Mithra Jin's younger brothers as guests for a lighthearted challenge: each Epik High member would call their mother and ask which son she loved most. It's the kind of premise that sounds playful until someone starts listing credentials, and Code Kunst went there immediately.
"My brother is diligent," he said. "He studied consistently from a young age, and right now he's in Michigan. His company sent him." The brother, already known to fans as a Samsung Electronics researcher, is apparently now enrolled at the University of Michigan on a company-sponsored program. Code Kunst added, with the resigned confidence of someone who has accepted his position in the family rankings: "It'll be boring. I guarantee it."
He did offer one corner where he thought he might have a point. "My brother is more affectionate," he admitted, describing how when they eat, his brother scoops an entire portion and hands it to their mother while he himself gives only a small bit. It's a detail that landed as both self-aware and genuinely endearing.

The brother who became a fan favorite
This isn't the first time the younger brother has captured public attention. Code Kunst appeared with him on MBC's Naneun Honja Sanda (I Live Alone) in January of the previous year, introducing him as what Koreans call an eomchinah, shorthand for the kind of son every mother brags about to other mothers. "By my standards, he got all the genes," Code Kunst said at the time. "I never had to scold him. He just doesn't do anything worth scolding."
On that broadcast, the brother showed off serious cooking skills alongside his research career, and when asked about the nature of his work at Samsung, he declined to elaborate, deadpanning that it was "classified information." The response became a small moment of its own.
The attention that followed apparently went further than anyone expected. Code Kunst later mentioned that a dating show had reached out to recruit his brother as a cast member, though he noted his brother had no interest in that kind of spotlight.
The Michigan update lands as a natural next chapter for a sibling story fans have followed with genuine warmth. Code Kunst's mix of pride and mock defeat whenever the subject comes up is part of what makes it work, and the Epik High segment gave him another chance to deliver both in the same breath.
