G-Dragon's latest YouTube upload opens with a confession that fans immediately latched onto: after performing at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on the 11th with BIGBANG, he slept for half a day in New York. "I slept for half of the day," he says, almost matter-of-factly, and the comment sections filled up with a mix of relief and affection from fans who'd watched him command an arena of tens of thousands just hours before.

The vlog, posted on the 29th to his official channel under the title G-DRAGON – GD loves NYC GD의 하루, captures that rare in-between space on a world tour: the hours after the stage lights go down and before the next city. BIGBANG are currently running the XX:COSMOS world tour to mark the group's 20th debut anniversary, with G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung as the touring trio.

The 'honeymoon' with Daesung

The standout moment for most viewers wasn't the New York skyline or the restaurant stops. It was G-Dragon introducing the trip with a straight face: "Today we're heading off on another honeymoon." He explained that Taeyang couldn't make the New York leg because he has a family, and Daesung cheekily added that Taeyang had "deliberately made room" for the two of them.

The bit ran further. At dinner, G-Dragon showed off his elaborate nail art to Daesung and suggested, "Wife, let's get our nails done. I'll do all five for you." He then proposed renaming their shared channel Bubublog, a playful Korean portmanteau roughly meaning Couple's Log, and the two toasted each other in a way that had fans screenshotting every frame. The easy comfort between them, built over two decades of shared stages and studios, makes the running gag feel less like a performance and more like two people who genuinely enjoy each other's company.

Cruises and곰탕 on a day off

Beyond the Daesung material, the vlog is a low-key document of how G-Dragon actually rests. He and his staff took a New York cruise to take in the city's waterfront views, though he was characteristically candid about not wanting to be there. "Why are we even doing this," he says on camera. "I don't even take cruises in Korea." He boarded anyway, which fans found entirely on-brand: the comment sections filled with variations of "complaining about the cruise while getting on the cruise is so GD."

Elsewhere in the day, G-Dragon visited a gomtang restaurant, a Korean beef bone soup spot, for a quieter meal, a grounding choice that quietly underlines how much touring artists lean on familiar food when everything else is unfamiliar.

The contrast the vlog draws is a simple one, but it lands: this is the same person who performed Fantastic Baby and Bang Bang Bang for a packed MetLife Stadium crowd, now admitting he'd rather sleep in than get on a boat. That gap between the stage persona and the off-camera reality is exactly what fans keep coming back to these vlogs for, and G-Dragon seems genuinely at ease letting them see it.
