i-dle Returns to Anime Soundtracks With Playful New OST 'Hide and Seek'

i-dle is stepping back into the anime world with a brand-new original soundtrack. The group will release "Hide and Seek," a vibrant pop track designed for TV Asahi's romantic comedy animation series Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku!?, arriving on global streaming platforms on April 22.

The song reflects the emotional complexity at the heart of the show's premise, depicting a girl who maintains a confident exterior while harboring deeper sensitivity beneath the surface. It's a natural fit for the anime's storytelling, which centers on an otaku high schooler navigating unexpected friendships with two "gyaru"-type girls at his school.

This marks i-dle's second venture into anime soundtrack territory, following their 2025 contribution "Invincible." The group has proven their versatility across genres, and "Hide and Seek" continues that trend with its uplifting, accessible pop sensibility.

Fans won't have to wait long to connect with the group in person, either. i-dle will touch down in Japan in June as part of their 2026 World Tour [Syncopation], with a stop scheduled in Yokohama.
