  1. Soyeon won Inkigayo on the 11th, her second week in a row at the top. That brings her total to four music show trophies for "I'll Quit (Narr. Kian84)", with a 26,000-video challenge behind it.

i-dle's Soyeon took the Inkigayo trophy on the 11th with 5,366 points for "I'll Quit" (Narr. Kian84), her fourth music show win with the song. ATEEZ came second with 4,139 points for "Bad," and RESCENE placed third with 3,796 for "Love Attack."

The win follows Mnet's M Countdown on the 1st, Inkigayo on the 4th and MBC's Show! Music Core on the 10th, where Soyeon was named first place for the second week of October. Those first three wins already put her past her earlier solo best: the two trophies she collected with "BEAM BEAM," the title track from her previous release Windy. Fans who watched that campaign now have a clear benchmark to measure this one against.

A workplace song with a wide reach

"I'll Quit" has also been strong off the broadcast stage. It topped the daily charts on Melon, Genie and Bugs, and on the Circle Chart's week 40 rankings it took first place in the digital, streaming, ringtone and V coloring categories.

The song pairs a relatable office-worker theme with a warmer, more romantic message, set to a bright band arrangement. Soyeon herself has said it pays homage to "Please Take Care of Me," the band Ex's grand prize winner at the 2005 MBC University Song Festival. That nod to a campus-band classic may help explain why the song is landing with listeners across a wide age range, according to her agency, Cube Entertainment.

The lineup around the competition was packed. Kim Jae-hwan, NiziU, Rothy, BOYNEXTDOOR, N.Flying, ALLDAY PROJECT, ONEUS, Jeon Yu-jin, KO1KEYZ, CRAVITY, CLOSE YOUR EYES, KickFlip, TUIDE, TIOT, Hayoon, hrtz.wav, HAENA and Hwang Min-hyun also performed on the episode.
