Ha Jung-woo and Cha Jung-won Set December 13 Wedding After 6 Years Together
Ha Jung-woo and Cha Jung-won will marry on December 13 in a private Seoul ceremony. Their agencies confirmed it eight months after the couple denied a July wedding rumor.

Ha Jung-woo and Cha Jung-won will marry on December 13 in a private ceremony in Seoul. Both of their agencies, Workhouse Company and Saram Entertainment, confirmed the date on the 14th, ending roughly six years of dating.
The actors, born 11 years apart (Ha in 1978, Cha in 1989), are reported to have met around 2020 as fellow members of the entertainment industry before becoming a couple. They kept the relationship quiet for years, reportedly so that neither one's work would be weighed down by attention to the other.
That changed in February, when reports of the relationship surfaced alongside talk of a July wedding. The two sides acknowledged the dating but pushed back on the marriage rumor, saying nothing had been decided. The December announcement arrives about eight months later. People close to the couple describe a warm atmosphere: Ha has reportedly been quietly telling those around him about the plans and sending invitations, after having told friends he would share news "when the time comes."

Public warmth since going public
Since the relationship became known, the pair have been openly supportive of each other at promotional events. At the press conference for tvN's How to Become a Building Owner in Korea, Ha said Cha gives him "unwavering affection and support." Cha returned the sentiment at a media event for tvN's Kill It: Style Creator Wars, saying Ha had watched the first broadcast and was cheering her on while monitoring the show.

A family plan that fans are revisiting
The news has also revived something Ha said on a YouTube channel in 2024. Discussing the births of sons to his father, actor Kim Yong-gun, and his younger brother, he joked that only he was left. He said the news felt like both a blessing and a source of pressure, and that he hoped for either three sons and three daughters or two and two. He added that he planned to start a family right after marrying.

Where their careers stand
Ha debuted in the 2002 film Madeleine and became one of Korea's leading screen actors through The Chaser, Take Off, Nameless Gangster, The Terror Live, Assassination, Tunnel and the Along with the Gods films. He has also directed, including Roller Coaster, Hur Sam-kwan, Lobby and The Neighbors. He returned to television this year in How to Become a Building Owner in Korea, and is reportedly preparing the film Inside Men: Birth of the Villains (working title).
Cha debuted in the 2012 film Horror Stories and has appeared in dramas including She Was Pretty, Special Labor Inspector Jo Jang-poong and Lawless Lawyer. She is also a fashion and beauty influencer, and recently appeared in Kill It: Style Creator Wars.
