Rapper Yang Hong-won Marries Won Hyun-ju Two Years After Daughter's Birth

A day before their wedding, Yang Hong-won and Won Hyun-ju posted a set of wedding photos with a one-line caption: "Are these two dating? Props provided by: Manager Yang Lua." The "manager" is their daughter, born in November 2024, and on the 18th the rapper (27) and the model (29) married in a ceremony in Seoul.

The couple have been together since 2017, roughly eight years, so the wedding comes after the baby rather than before it. When Lua was born, Yang announced it on social media with a photo of the newborn and a message to his followers: "My fans, Hyun-ju did it. My daughter Yang Lua, congratulate her." Two years on, the caption on the wedding photos suggests the same easy humor, with their daughter treated as part of the team.

A family life fans have followed on YouTube

Fans haven't had to guess at much of this. Yang and Won have shared their home life on the YouTube channel Yang Hong-won's Parenting Diary, and the preparations for the wedding appeared there too. Won, a freelance model, had stepped back from modeling to raise Lua, and recently returned to the camera alongside her daughter as a model for a children's clothing brand.

From High School Rapper to husband

Yang first became widely known in 2017, when he won Mnet's hip-hop competition High School Rapper. He later finished as runner-up on Show Me the Money 8 in 2019 and has continued working as a rapper, releasing a number of albums.

The ceremony's exact venue was not disclosed beyond Seoul. For now, the wedding photos and the channel are the clearest window into how the new family is celebrating.
