Han So-hee opens up about drastic weight changes for acting roles
Han So-hee recently revealed her experience with significant weight gain and loss while preparing for roles in her YouTube channel appearance. She emphasized the importance of self-love and maintaining balance in relationships amidst the pressures of the entertainment industry.

Han So-hee revealed that she gained 15 kilograms in a short period for her role in My Name, explaining that the quick weight fluctuations led her to suffer from digestive issues. I completely had to adjust my body for the action scenes, she shared during her appearance on the YouTube channel Charin Geon Jwi Puldo Eopjiman on August 28.

When asked about her favorite foods, the actress mentioned her love for traditional Korean dishes, specifically ramen and kimchi stew. I can’t live without rice and noodles, she stated, highlighting her fondness for authentic Korean cuisine.

Following her significant weight gain for My Name, Han So-hee revealed that she had to drastically lose weight for her next project, Nevertheless. This rapid cycle of gaining and losing weight took a toll on her digestive health, resulting in her experiencing discomfort after eating larger portions.

In terms of maintaining her physique, Han emphasized the importance of exercise, stating that she practices boxing as a primary form of workout. Boxing has become my favorite sport; I find it incredibly enjoyable, she said, showcasing her commitment to physical fitness.

The actress also expressed her views on love and self-identity during the same interview. When discussing her ideal partner, she mentioned that she is leaning towards someone stable: I think that when I am stable myself, I naturally attract stable people. She conveyed her intention to avoid becoming overly dependent on a partner in her relationships. If I value myself, it doesn't mean that when someone leaves, I cease to exist, they come and go, but I remain the same, she explained, reflecting a mature outlook on love and self-worth.

In addressing how she copes with feelings of inadequacy in love, she mentioned adopting a straightforward communication style, avoiding emotional outbursts. If I feel someone's attention is lacking, I communicate clearly, suggesting we should both make more effort. However, if the other person does not engage in the conversation, she mentioned not forcing the relationship, stating, If they say, 'I love you, but your thoughts are strange,’ that is when I let go.

Ultimately, Han So-hee emphasized that one's self-love is crucial, particularly when feeling unloved by others. More than placing her happiness in another person's hands, she believes in filling the void by enjoying good food and aesthetics in her daily life. The moment someone occupies more than half of your life, that’s when things can unravel for you, she warned, reinforcing the idea that maintaining a balance between love and personal life is essential.
