Hearts2Hearts put every track from their Japan debut single on global streaming platforms at midnight KST on August 10, giving fans a two-day head start before the physical release arrives on August 12.

The single, titled ICONIC HEART, carries three songs. The title track is a new original, a bright, energetic number about the rush of chasing a bigger world together. Joining it are Japanese-language reworks of two titles the group has already built a following around: Lemon Tang and RUDE! Adapting those tracks into Japanese rather than simply including them as-is is a deliberate move, giving existing fans something familiar with a new texture and lowering the barrier for Japanese listeners coming in cold.

SM Entertainment confirmed the details. For a label that has navigated Japanese market entries for decades, the playbook here is recognizable: pre-release the audio to build streaming momentum, let the physical single arrive with the promotional push already in motion. Hearts2Hearts, billed as a "focusing girl group" by SM, have been steadily building their profile since their Korean debut, and Japan is a logical next step given the market's appetite for SM acts.

The early returns to watch are the Japanese platform numbers over the next 48 hours. A strong opening on Line Music or Spotify Japan before the physical street date would confirm that the streaming-first rollout landed. Circle August 12 as the date the campaign officially begins, but the real indicator will be whether those streaming figures hold through the end of the promotional window.
