Hearts2Hearts released Next Chapter on the 16th, their first song written in English, as a collaboration single for the 10th anniversary of the mobile game Arena of Valor. The same day, Spotify named the group the first act in its new Spotify CLOSER series, and the group performed on KBS2's Music Bank.

The early indicator is on Spotify. Since debuting in February 2025, Hearts2Hearts have grown their monthly streams on the platform more than 20-fold, according to Spotify. They have logged over 530 million cumulative streams this year alone, and their signature track RUDE! has passed 180 million plays by itself. Those are strong numbers for a rookie group, and they help explain why a global game publisher wanted them for an anniversary release.

What Next Chapter sounds like

Arena of Valor is a MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) co-developed by Tencent Games and Garena. The single is a synth-pop dance track built on bright, game-like sound design, paired with the group's lively vocals. The English lyrics center on stepping into an unknown dimension, trusting each other and winning together through any obstacle.

Because it is their first English-language release, the song is a test of how the group travels with listeners outside Korea. Given the Spotify trend, the ceiling here looks high, and I would expect the track to chart on the platform's international lists within its first week.

Spotify CLOSER and a busy day

Spotify CLOSER is a new project spotlighting promising Korean artists, and Hearts2Hearts were chosen as its first. The released content includes live performance footage of the Korean version of their Japan debut song ICONIC HEART, acoustic live versions of Baby Steps and Butterflies, and a video podcast with candid conversation.

The group said they felt a deeper bond with fans through the shoot, adding that they were glad to share the moment with fans worldwide through CLOSER. Spotify plans to release performance videos from ALLDAY PROJECT and LNGSHOT in turn.

On Music Bank, Hearts2Hearts unveiled the Korean-language stage of ICONIC HEART, rounding out a day that covered a game tie-in, a streaming platform spotlight and a weekly music show.
