From 'Magnetic' to 'Cherish': ILLIT Keeps Racking Up 200M Spotify Milestones
ILLIT has added another 200 million Spotify streams to their growing tally, this time with 'Cherish,' bringing the group to four songs at that mark. The achievement arrives as ILLIT's momentum in Japan also reaches a new high, with two tracks simultaneously charting across the country's major streaming platforms.

ILLIT now has four songs with at least 200 million Spotify streams, after Cherish cleared the milestone on July 9 with a cumulative count of 200,141,157 plays, according to Spotify data.
The group's catalog is building into something genuinely hard to ignore. Cherish joins Magnetic, which holds the record for the fastest K-pop group debut track to reach 800 million Spotify streams, along with two other tracks that have already crossed the 200 million mark. In total, ILLIT now counts seven songs with over 100 million streams on the platform, a catalog depth that few groups achieve this early in their run.
Magnetic remains the anchor of that story, but the fact that Cherish has followed at the same pace suggests the group's streaming base is broad enough to carry deeper cuts, not just a single defining lead track. That kind of consistency across a discography is usually what separates a strong debut from a sustained career.
The timing is good for ILLIT, whose profile in Japan has been rising sharply alongside the global numbers. Their second Japanese single, I Got Your Back, shipped over 100,000 copies within three days of release and earned a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan in July. The title track, I Got Your Back (feat. JISOO, MOMOKA of HANA), debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 almost immediately after release.
That single is now running in tandem with It's Me, the lead track from ILLIT's fourth mini-album released in April, and the two songs have been pulling double duty on Line Music, Spotify Japan, and Apple Music Japan at the same time. Getting two tracks to chart simultaneously on major local streaming platforms is a meaningful signal of how the group is landing with Japanese listeners beyond the initial release push.
With the Japanese market gaining momentum and their global Spotify catalog continuing to accumulate, ILLIT's numbers heading into the second half of 2025 are worth watching closely.
