ILLIT has a new entry in a club very few fourth-generation groups can claim membership in: as of the 13th, their single It's Me crossed 100 million cumulative streams on Japan's Oricon, landing the track on the weekly streaming ranking's nine-figure tier with a precise count of 103,803,825 plays.

The milestone makes It's Me the group's third song to reach that mark in Japan, following their debut single Magnetic and Almond Chocolate. Three 100-million-stream songs across a still-young discography is a striking rate of return, and it suggests ILLIT's appeal in the Japanese market isn't built on a single viral moment.

A song with serious legs

Released in April as the title track of their fourth mini-album MAMIHLAPINATAPAI, It's Me is rooted in a techno sound that set it apart from the lighter, more delicate textures of their earlier work. The harder edge didn't slow it down: the track has appeared on the Billboard Global 200 for 18 consecutive weeks, a run that points to genuine international reach beyond their core fanbase.

The music video crossed 100 million views just 79 days after release, another marker of how quickly the song found its audience.

What's next

With the Japan streaming momentum still building, ILLIT is already looking ahead. Their fifth mini-album, BREAK EVEN, arrives on October 26. The title refers to a break-even point, and the album is framed around an honest, unfiltered look at relationships, a thematic shift that could open up a different emotional register for a group that has spent much of its first two years in brighter sonic territory.
