BLACKPINK's Lisa Spotted With Thai Actor Blue Pontiwat Across Multiple Countries, And Families Are Involved

BLACKPINK's Lisa is being linked to Thai actor Blue Pontiwat, and the sightings aren't a single data point anymore. Reports from online communities and social media place the two together across Thailand, Hong Kong, and Japan, with one account claiming their families also spent time together at Pontiwat's mother's birthday.

The two had long been spotted in Thailand and were generally written off as close friends. That narrative started to crack when photos surfaced in late July, apparently showing them together in Hong Kong. One person who shared the images put it plainly: knowing them as frequent friends in Bangkok is one thing, but seeing them abroad together is another. Then came a separate round of speculation placing them in Japan, with some online users identifying the two in a group photo from the trip.

Pontiwat, born in 2000 and three years younger than Lisa, is a recognizable face in Thailand. He appeared in the Netflix series Ready, Set, Love and has picked up the fan nickname "Thailand's Cha Eun-woo" in Korean online spaces. He made his connection to Lisa visible back in April, when he posted photos from her birthday party on his own social media.

The timing of all this is hard to ignore. Speculation that Lisa had ended her relationship with Frédéric Arnault, the son of LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault, had been circulating just before the Pontiwat rumors broke. Lisa and Arnault had been linked since 2023. The two stories landing in sequence is the reason this is getting as much traction as it is.

Meanwhile, Lisa had posted a separate set of photos on August 11 captioned "Red rock therapy," showing her relaxing on a yacht in a pink swimsuit layered under a white long-sleeved top, drifting past red rock canyons and blue waterways. The images read as a quiet personal update, but context has a way of reframing things.

The BLACKPINK backdrop isn't clean right now either. The group's 10th debut anniversary fell on August 8, and in the days before it, YG Entertainment drew fan criticism for announcing a commemorative fan event only two days in advance and capping attendance at 40 people. Member Jisoo apologized directly during a live broadcast and was later photographed in tears while greeting fans outside the venue.

As for Lisa and Pontiwat, neither side has confirmed or denied anything. The relationship remains unverified.
