When BTS's ARIRANG world tour rolled into Bogotá on the 2nd and 3rd, mobile LED trucks were already circling the city playing welcome videos for six hours a day. That was just the opening move from the fan bases behind what may be the most coordinated fan support campaign in BTS's Latin American history.

Two fan groups, 'Jungkook Latin America' and 'Jungkook Brazil', organized the effort to run in parallel with Jungkook's tour schedule across Colombia, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil. The tools they are working with range from LED advertising trucks to bus route wraps to aircraft, and the planning behind each activation is specific enough to feel almost logistical in scale.

City by city, stop by stop

In Lima, LED trucks will run eight hours a day around Estadio San Marcos and key roads in Lima Centro from the 7th through the 10th. On the 8th and 10th, a paraglider carrying a 'Welcome to Peru Jungkook' banner is set to fly above the Costa Verde coastal strip overlooking the city, a detail that has already generated considerable excitement on fan forums, given that it is, by any measure, an unusual welcome gesture.

For the Buenos Aires stop on the 24th, the plan shifts to fixed-wing aircraft: a small plane will trail a sky banner reading 'Welcome to Argentine Jungkook' around the concert venue. And in São Paulo, 'Jungkook Brazil' has booked advertising space across six bus routes for the entire month of October to mark the concerts there.

BTS is performing 14 shows across five cities on the ARIRANG world tour: Bogotá, Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo.

A birthday donation that came first

The tour support is not the first time these fan bases made their presence felt on this stretch of the calendar. On September 1st, Jungkook's birthday, Latin American fans organized donations to animal rescue and welfare organizations in Peru and Mexico, a cause Jungkook has publicly shown affection for. The birthday tribute and the tour campaign together paint a picture of a fan community that has spent months preparing for this moment.

With the Lima shows approaching and still more cities to come, the campaign labeled 'OUR GOLDEN SUPERSTAR' is turning a world tour into something that feels, at least in Latin America, like a hometown welcome on a continental scale.
