A Moon Photo Just Reignited the Jungkook and Winter Dating Rumors

BTS's Jungkook and aespa's Winter both liked the same Instagram moon photo, and Jungkook went a step further and reposted it with a moon emoji. That's all it took to restart speculation about the two, who have been linked since matching dog tattoos surfaced in December 2024.

A photo of the moon with a rainbow was all it took. BTS's Jungkook and aespa's Winter both liked the same Instagram post from July, and now the dating rumor discourse is running at full speed again.

A Moon Photo Just Reignited the Jungkook and Winter Dating Rumors

The post in question was captioned something along the lines of "without a doubt, the most beautiful moon photo on earth," and paired the praise with a shot of the moon above a rainbow-streaked sky. Jungkook didn't just double-tap it: he reposted it to his own Instagram and added a moon emoji. Winter was then spotted having liked the same post, and that was enough for online communities, particularly overseas fandoms, to treat it as a new data point.

To be clear: two people liking the same public Instagram post is not evidence of a relationship. But the context here is doing heavy lifting. Jungkook and Winter have been trailing dating rumors since December 2024, when fans noticed that both had matching dog tattoos in similar positions on their arms. Winter's showed three small dogs linked together on the back of her arm above the elbow; Jungkook had a comparable dog-style tattoo in roughly the same spot. The "couple tattoo" angle spread fast.

From there, fans started cross-referencing. Bracelet styles, shorts, in-ear monitor designs, the overlap claims stacked up. The most specific allegation was a "couple nail" theory: that the two had gotten similar-colored polish on the same finger (the ring finger, naturally) one day apart.

Big Hit Music and SM Entertainment have both declined to comment on any of it, responding with the standard industry non-answer: private matters cannot be confirmed. Neither company has deviated from that position through any of the rumors.

The moon photo probably won't settle anything either way. But the timing is suspicious enough that fans who want to believe are going to believe, and fans who don't are going to tell them a liked post means nothing. Both camps are currently right.
