Kim Chaewon Posted Belle Photos, Said 'Prince? I Don't Need One'

LE SSERAFIM's Kim Chaewon showed up to Disneyland in a yellow off-shoulder gown, a tiara, and a rose bouquet, looking exactly like Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Then she sat down with her legs spread wide, stared directly into the camera with a dead-straight expression, and the internet collectively lost its mind.

She posted the photo dump on the 2nd with no caption. None was needed.

The DM that did the most damage

The real chaos came from her DMs, where she dropped a short string of messages that fans screenshotted and spread immediately: "Jjan. I'm a princess. Prince? I don't need one." A follow-up read: "I am the princess who protects the FEARNOTs. Just let someone try to mess with you."

So: Disney princess energy on the outside, bodyguard energy on the inside. Fans ran with it.

Theqoo comments ranged from "a person I need to forget" to "I seriously want to date her" to multiple people just typing "what??" as a complete thought. Someone called her "the female lead of a web story," which tracks. There were memes. Several.

The outfit did the heavy lifting

The Belle comparison was not a stretch. The yellow gown, the bare shoulders, the crown, the roses. Chaewon leaned into the reference and then immediately undercut the damsel framing with the wide-legged sit and the look that said she was absolutely not waiting to be rescued.

Fans also noticed her hair has grown out considerably since earlier in the year, with a few comments pointing out it gives her an IZ*ONE-era throwback look.

This comes a few months after a rough patch: Chaewon paused activities in May due to neck pain, recovered by June, and was back on stage with LE SSERAFIM at Summer Sonic 2026 in Japan in August. The princess photos are a pretty clean signal that she's doing just fine.
