After failing yet another interview, Seok-hwan is killed by mysterious assailants, and upon his resurrection, he learns that his friend Hyung-seok has been kidnapped. Armed with only a baseball bat, Seok-hwan pursues the kidnappers in a high-stakes standoff that effectively sets the film's pace.

He conducted extensive research on how to differentiate the film's action from existing hits.

The cast has expressed interest in continuing the story if a sequel is made. The film’s title reference to "Red" is Seok-hwan's code name, alongside characters named Black and Blue.

Koo Kyo-hwan remarked, "I believe this story has great potential for expansion. Now that we've introduced Red, I would love to explore other characters as well," indicating openness for future projects.

Resurrection Man: The Red is set to hit theaters on September 30, with a runtime of 101 minutes and rated for audiences aged 15 and up.
