Lee Joon-hyuk's Lottery Drama Debuts at 3.9% on tvN
Lee Joon-hyuk's new office comedy Lottery 1st Prize Also Goes to Work opened to a 3.9% nationwide rating on tvN. The Tving original aired its first episode on September 14.

Lee Joon-hyuk's new drama Lottery 1st Prize Also Goes to Work opened to a 3.9% nationwide rating on tvN, according to Nielsen Korea data released on the 15th. It is a respectable starting point for a title that runs as a Tving original first and a tvN Monday-Tuesday drama second, a dual-platform model that tends to split its initial audience between streaming and linear.
The first episode introduced Gong Eun-tae (Lee Joon-hyuk), an office worker who reached team leader a little earlier than most of his peers, a fact that has made his working life quietly miserable. Below him, veteran team member Yang Jun-ho (Seo Hyun-woo), who joined the company before him, openly dismisses his authority. Above him, office politics funnel extra work his way with little reward. The character is the kind of exhausted professional Korean workplace dramas have long used as a mirror for salaried workers who recognize every detail.
The lottery win arrives almost by accident. Eun-tae visits a convenience store in need of change and buys a ticket on impulse. When he checks the results without any particular expectation, the screen reads Congratulations, 1.3 billion won, first prize. The episode ends on that moment of stunned recognition, setting up the show's central premise: what does a person who has learned to survive by grinding actually do when the reason to grind disappears?
Format and origins
Lottery 1st Prize Also Goes to Work is adapted from a web novel of the same name. New episodes are released in pairs every Thursday at 6 p.m. on Tving before airing on tvN, which means streaming subscribers get each week's content roughly three to four days ahead of the linear broadcast audience. The arrangement reflects Tving's ongoing strategy of using tvN's established Monday-Tuesday slot as a promotional amplifier for its original productions, rather than a separate distribution window.
For a first episode under that structure, 3.9% gives the production a functional floor to build from. Whether the show's blend of workplace frustration and sudden wealth holds that audience will become clearer as its premise moves from setup to consequence.
