Lisa Apologizes Over BLACKPINK's 10th Anniversary Mess, Jennie Posts Thank You

Lisa has become the third BLACKPINK member to publicly apologize over the group's poorly handled 10th anniversary event, posting a lengthy message to BLINKs acknowledging the hurt feelings surrounding the August 8 meet-and-greet. Jisoo and Rosé issued similar apologies in the days prior, while Jennie posted only a general thank-you without addressing fan complaints directly.

Lisa posted a lengthy message to BLINKs on August 14, making her the third BLACKPINK member to directly address the fallout from the group's chaotic 10th anniversary event, and the contrast with Jennie's silence on the matter is hard to miss.

Writing on a fan communication platform, Lisa opened plainly: she knew what was being said online, and she wasn't going to pretend otherwise. "I know there's been a lot of talk going around," she wrote, adding that the situation made her deeply sad and that she was genuinely sorry for how things played out. She said she couldn't imagine how hurt fans must have felt, "because I felt it too."

The tone was careful not to be defensive. Lisa was explicit that she wasn't posting to justify anything or argue a position. She wanted to hold onto the love and bond she shares with BLINKs, she said, and hoped they could keep moving forward together.

The source of all this is BLACKPINK's 10th debut anniversary meet-and-greet, held on August 8 at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan, Seoul. What should have been a landmark celebration turned into a PR headache almost immediately. The event was announced late, early reports suggested only some members would attend, and fans who had spent years waiting for a full group reunion found the whole thing underwhelming and disorganized.

Jisoo was first to respond, posting just after midnight on the 8th. She admitted her heart felt heavy knowing so many BLINKs were hurt, and apologized for failing to make the anniversary feel the way it should have. At the event itself, she reportedly couldn't hold back tears and broke down while reading handwritten fan letters in her car afterward.

Rosé followed on the 11th with her own long message, explaining that she had needed a few days to collect her thoughts, not because she didn't understand fans' feelings, but because she felt them too acutely. She worried that her delay had only made BLINKs feel more alone. She also posted a photo of herself visibly crying on social media the following day.

Then came Lisa on the 14th, completing what is now a three-member wave of apologies spanning nearly a week.

Jennie is the outlier. She did post on August 8 to mark the anniversary, sharing reflections on the milestone and gratitude toward fans. But her message stayed in celebratory territory. She didn't address the fan complaints directly, didn't use the word sorry, and didn't post through the fan platform the other three chose for their more personal notes. It was warm. It just wasn't the same thing.

Whether that distinction matters to fans is already being debated, and the timing is suspicious enough that it won't go unnoticed. Three members went out of their way to name the hurt. One didn't. That gap is now part of the story.
