Netflix's BEEF Returns With Youn Yeo Jung and Song Kang Ho in a Darker, Relationship-Focused Season 2
Netflix's acclaimed revenge drama BEEF is back with Season 2 on April 16, shifting from individual anger to the complexities of relationships within elite hierarchies. The new season features Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan alongside legendary Korean actors Youn Yeo Jung and Song Kang Ho, with director Lee Sung Jin expanding the scope to three couples and a luxury country club setting.

Nearly three years after its global breakthrough, BEEF returns to Netflix on April 16 with an ambitious second season that promises to deepen the stakes and expand the world that made Season 1 a cultural phenomenon.

The first season was nearly unstoppable. At the story's center stands Chairwoman Park, an elite, commanding figure who controls the country club, and she's played by Academy Award winner Youn Yeo Jung. Across from her is Song Kang Ho as Dr. Kim, a world-renowned plastic surgeon, Park's second husband, and her personal physician. His position becomes precarious when he begins experiencing worsening tremors and commits a critical surgical error, forcing Park to cover for him, a secret that becomes a fault line in their relationship.

The pairing of Youn and Song has generated considerable buzz, not just for their collective star power but for the human story behind it. Director Lee revealed that Song initially turned down the role, doubting whether it fit him. Youn personally intervened, reportedly telling him:
