Netflix's 'Death Game' Returns With Fresh Contenders and Tournament Stakes in Season 2
Netflix's 'Death Game 2: The Final Winner' debuts Wednesday with a new tournament format and star-studded lineup. The competitive reality show brings back season one winners alongside newcomers like YouTuber Kwak Tube and Kiki leader Jiyu, setting up an even fiercer battle of wits.

Netflix's Death Game is leveling up for season two. Premiering on Wednesday, the 22nd at 5 p.m. KST, Death Game 2: The Final Winner transforms the format into a full tournament bracket where players compete week by week to crown a single champion. Unlike season one's one-on-one matchups, this new structure builds momentum from previous wins, with competitors seeded based on their past victories, and the stakes have never been higher.

The lineup is a potent mix of returning champions and hungry newcomers. Joining season one regulars like Yuri Sa, Heo Sung-beom, and others are three notable additions: Kwak Tube, a travel YouTuber with 2.15 million followers known for his work on Devil's Plan; Park Hee-sun, a former Miss Korea contestant and accomplished student; and Jiyu, leader of Kiki and a Gen Z personality with equal parts charisma and competitive fire. Together, they promise to reshape the game's dynamics entirely.
A teaser released on the 15th gave audiences their first taste of the new format. Pengsu's provocative catchphrase "Let's go" punctuated clips of five players sitting around the table, a stark contrast to season one's intimate head-to-head battles. The tension was palpable: commentator Jang Dong-min declared, "Only first place matters," underscoring how much sharper the competition has become.
The newcomers aren't intimidated. Kwak Tube boasted he'd outperform past competitors, while Park Hee-sun seemed genuinely absorbed in the game's psychology, marveling at what survival really takes. Jiyu expressed enthusiasm about playing alongside IVE's Gaeul, hinting at intriguing personality clashes ahead.
But the veterans are sharpening their knives too. Yuri Sa vowed to settle her season one losses with ruthless precision. Peng Su and Park Sung-ung, each holding a single seed, have set their sights on Hong Jin-ho, the final boss who claimed two victories last season. The poster, with its defiant stares and tournament bracket, features the full roster: Hong Jin-ho, Dindin, Gaeul, and returning winners Peng Su, Park Sung-ung, and Seo Chul-gu alongside the fresh faces ready to make their mark.
Whether through strategy, psychology, or sheer nerve, one player will emerge victorious. The question now is: who?
