Contradicting Accounts Emerge Online Over Park Wi's School Past, But Neither Side Has Proof
Unverified school bullying allegations against YouTuber Park Wi began circulating online on the 29th, with anonymous users claiming to be former classmates at Yongsan High School. The claims were quickly met by equally unverified rebuttals from others who identified themselves the same way, leaving the public with two irreconcilable accounts and no documentary evidence for either.

Unverified allegations that YouTuber Park Wi committed school violence in high school began spreading across online communities and social media on the 29th, the latest wave of scrutiny following a separate controversy last week over CCTV footage from a fall he suffered while exiting a KTX train.
The school bullying claims fit a pattern that has become familiar in Korean online culture: an ongoing controversy about a public figure draws anonymous accounts from the past, some corroborating, some contradicting, with no third-party verification available for any of them.

What the allegations say
Anonymous users identifying themselves as former classmates at Yongsan High School in Seoul posted comments across various platforms, including one person claiming Park Wi returned to school after a stint in a juvenile detention facility and another stating that he or she suffered a four-week injury at Park Wi's hands during their second year of high school. Screenshots of these comments circulated rapidly after several users appeared to recognize each other in the thread, giving the posts a superficial air of mutual corroboration.
No documentary evidence has been made public confirming that any of the commenters actually attended the same school as Park Wi. The specific claims about juvenile detention, physical assault, and a formal injury diagnosis are likewise unsupported by any official record or named source.
What the rebuttals say
A person identifying themselves as a Yongsan High School classmate, referred to in reports as A, pushed back directly. A said he or she personally visited Park Wi in hospital after Park Wi was diagnosed with full-body paralysis following an accident, and that roughly 40 former classmates made the same trip. "Logically, if Wi had done something bad, would that many people have come to visit him when he was seriously hurt?" A said. A described Park Wi as "a positive and good-hearted person" who, even while hospitalized, kept smiling so his visitors would not feel upset.
A second person claiming to have been in Park Wi's class recalled that he brought food for classmates on school trips and looked out for students who were often left out socially. Neither of these accounts, however, comes with any more verification than the allegations they are trying to rebut.
How the broader controversy developed
The school bullying discussion is downstream of a controversy that began on the 21st, when Park Wi posted CCTV footage of the KTX fall. He said a wheelchair wheel caught on the foot of a social service worker who was holding a boarding ramp in place, causing him to tip over. Park Wi framed the release as advocacy for better disabled mobility infrastructure, but the response was sharply critical, with many viewers arguing that publicizing the footage put undue pressure on the worker involved.
Park Wi subsequently deleted the video and apologized, writing that he had failed to consider the position of the worker "who did his best to help me and apologized politely." The fallout extended to his role as a Seoul city promotional ambassador: a formal complaint requesting his removal was filed, and Park Wi then submitted his own resignation from the position.
With that controversy still active, older social media posts and past broadcast appearances were pulled up for review online, and the school bullying allegations followed shortly after. At this point, neither side of that particular dispute rests on verified evidence, and the specific claims involving juvenile detention, assault, and formal injury records remain unconfirmed. Given the sensitivity of those allegations, both the unverified accusations and the unverified rebuttals warrant caution before being treated as settled fact.
