Park Soo-hong's Family Vlog Reignites Debate 19 Days After Flight Delay Apology
Just weeks after a flight delay controversy, Park Soo-hong posted a new family travel vlog, this time on a train to Busan. The video has reignited criticism online, with many questioning the timing.

Park Soo-hong is back on public transit, and the internet has thoughts.
About a month after a flight delay scandal that prompted a public apology and a near-three-week YouTube hiatus, the broadcaster uploaded a new family vlog on the 28th showing him, his wife Kim Da-ye, and their 23-month-old daughter Jae-i taking a train to Busan. The video's title: "Busan, where mom carried you, back after two years."

The vlog itself
Onboard, Park documented Jae-i playing with stickers before nodding off in his arms. "I can't tell you how beautiful she looks when she's sleeping," he said on camera. In Busan, the family ate out, walked along the beach, and watched Jae-i run toward the water shouting "the sea! the sea!" Kim Da-ye said returning to Busan felt particularly meaningful, she had visited the city while heavily pregnant, and being back with Jae-i hit differently.
For a moment it looked like a straightforward family YouTube comeback. Then the comments section happened.

What people are actually saying
Online reaction has been split, but the critical side is louder. Some viewers questioned why the couple is using public transportation at all given the August incident, with comments like "shouldn't they be driving their own car," "they're on public transit again," and "if the baby cries on a train you can't just get off, why did they get on one." Others said the vlog felt tone-deaf so soon after the controversy, arguing it showed no real sign of reflection. A few called it the end of whatever goodwill Park had built up.
Supporters pushed back with messages wishing the family well and calling Jae-i cute, but they were outnumbered in the discourse.

What happened in August
The backstory: in August, Park Soo-hong and Kim Da-ye were aboard a Guam-bound flight with their then-22-month-old daughter when the baby started crying. Park informed the crew they wanted to disembark. The baby calmed down, so he reversed the decision and they reboarded, but by then, checked baggage had to be reprocessed, and the flight departed roughly an hour late. Other passengers posted about the delay online, and the story spread fast.

Park issued a public apology on social media, acknowledging that his ignorance of airline procedures made a manageable situation worse. "We caused a significant inconvenience by taking up a lot of people's valuable time," he wrote. "I sincerely apologize." After that, both he and Kim Da-ye went quiet on social media and paused their YouTube channel. The regularly scheduled Monday uploads didn't go up for two weeks. They resumed posting on the 14th, 19 days after the controversy broke.
The Busan train vlog is their first proper travel content since. Whether posting it this soon reads as a normal return to family life or a misjudged move is, apparently, still a live debate.
Park Soo-hong and Kim Da-ye married in 2021. Jae-i was born in 2024 after IVF treatment.
