RESCENE's agency, The Muse Entertainment, delivered 50 million KRW to Geoje city officials on August 19 under the joint name of the group and their fandom, REMINE, the largest single donation tied to the disaster so far.

RESCENE Donates 50M KRW to Flood-Devastated Geoje: Member Won-i's Hometown

The Gyeongnam city of Geoje took more than 900mm of rainfall over three days between August 15 and 17, triggering widespread flooding, landslides, and infrastructure damage. RESCENE's connection to the area runs deeper than a PR calculation: Geoje is member Won-i's hometown, and the city appointed the group as promotional ambassadors back in May. The viral "Geoje Yahoe" meme, the clip that first put RESCENE on the public's radar, originated there.

Fan mobilization moved fast once the disaster hit. REMINE opened a dedicated fundraising page through Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association on August 18, and pulled in more than 40 million KRW within a day. A brand that uses RESCENE in its advertising also contributed 10 million KRW, bringing the combined fan-and-sponsor total to over 90 million KRW across the campaign.

All funds are earmarked for displaced residents: relief payments, on-site recovery support, and helping people rebuild daily routines. The Muse Entertainment has not commented further on additional plans, but the fandom's donation page on Hope Bridge remains open.

For a group that built its first real wave of public attention through a meme tied to Won-i's hometown, the speed and scale of the response feels less like celebrity philanthropy and more like a community showing up for itself.
