The styling choice comes at a transitional moment. Song Hye-kyo's exclusive contract with UAA, the agency she had been with for 14 years, expired this past June. She is set to continue her career through a newly established company headed by Shin Jae-ho, a former AAP executive who has also been her stylist for more than two decades.

Her next project is the Netflix drama Slowly, Intensely, set for release in the second half of this year. A single photo with a brief caption is not a press appearance, but given the context, the timing of the post feels deliberate.
