Stray Kids just ran through Latin America and the numbers are not subtle. Their self-titled festival STRAYCITY, a five-show run across Bogotá, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City, drew 270,000 fans in total, with the final dates in Mexico City landing on the 25th and 26th.

JYP Entertainment and Live Nation co-produced the event, positioning Stray Kids as the headline act for every show. The setlist pulled from their catalog heavy-hitters, including MANIAC and Sorikun, and the format was designed to scale: three cities, two nights in two of them, all arena or stadium-tier.

The bigger September picture

STRAYCITY wasn't even the whole story. Earlier in the month, on the 11th, Stray Kids became the first K-pop act to headline Rock in Rio in Brazil, drawing 100,000 people to that single stage. Stack that on top of STRAYCITY's 270K and the group played to 370,000 Latin American fans in September alone.

For context, Stray Kids have been building toward this for years, headlining Lollapalooza Paris, Lollapalooza Chicago, and the Governors Ball before anyone seriously expected a K-pop group to hold a slot that size. STRAYCITY is the next step past festival guest: they're now the reason the festival exists.

What JYP is saying

JYP's official statement was unambiguous about the plan going forward: STRAYCITY will continue, and the goal is to cement Stray Kids as a global festival headliner that audiences trust regardless of genre or region. The phrasing was careful, but the intent was clear, this is a recurring property now, not a one-off experiment.

The group's in-house production unit 3RACHA, consisting of members Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, has driven their creative direction since debut. That self-producing identity is part of what makes a branded festival legible: Stray Kids aren't being packaged into someone else's lineup, they're building the container themselves. Whether STRAYCITY eventually lands in Europe or Southeast Asia is the next question JYP hasn't answered yet.
