BTS launched their long-awaited ARIRANG world tour on April 9 at Goyang Stadium's main arena, opening what the group and their label are calling the largest tour in K-pop history.

The seven-member group will perform 85 shows across 34 cities in Asia, North America, Europe, and South America, with additional dates planned for Japan and the Middle East that could push the total even higher. All 46 shows through the North American and European legs, including the three Goyang opening nights, have already sold out.

Ahead of the first show, the members spoke frankly about the pressure of returning to the road after an extended hiatus. "It's been a while since we last toured, so we were worried we might have lost our edge," the group said in a statement released through Big Hit Music. "We prepared several times harder because of that. We want to show everything we've got, please look forward to it."

The centerpiece of the production is a 360-degree open stage installed in the middle of the stadium floor, allowing every section of the audience to face the performers directly. Jin noted that the format hadn't been used since a fan meeting back in 2019, adding that the rotating stage means both the performers and the audience will be experiencing something genuinely new. "Every direction becomes the front," he said. "We spin, they spin, it'll be a different kind of fun."

RM described what he's most hoping the crowd will feel: "I want the whole venue to feel like one giant club. There's a song we made with exactly that in mind, when that moment actually happens in real life, I think I'll be really happy."

Suga added that the show leans heavily into theatrical production, promising plenty of visual spectacle beyond just the music. V echoed the confidence, calling the setlist, staging, and overall structure "really solid", something he said the group could present "with pride."

Jungkook admitted he has some nerves about the all-around format. "Because it's 360 degrees, I'm a bit worried about making mistakes," he said. "But that also means we get to connect with fans in every direction, which makes it more exciting and special."

Jin, reflecting on what the tour means to the group, put it simply: "We all agree that concerts are the most important thing for an artist. After such a long time, I genuinely want to feel the culture and energy of each city we visit."

The ARIRANG setlist draws from the group's new album of the same name alongside fan-favorite hits. Several North American stadium dates mark historic firsts for a Korean artist performing solo concerts, among them Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Stanford Stadium, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, and AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

With 46 dates already sold out before the tour even began, ARIRANG arrives as one of the most anticipated stadium runs of 2026, and by the looks of it, BTS have no intention of easing back in gently.
