Girls' Generation Posts First Full-Group Photo as Debut Year 20 Nears

Tiffany Young posted a one-word caption, "twenty," on her SNS on the 11th, alongside a photo of all eight Girls' Generation members together. It was a quiet way to point at the group's 20th debut anniversary, which arrives next year.

Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany Young, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, YoonA and Seohyun stand side by side in the photo, each in a differently designed white dress with long hair worn down. The shared styling gives the frame a unified, almost ceremonial feel. That the members now work under different agencies, and still made it into one frame, is a large part of why the image landed so warmly with fans.

The one visible difference is on Tiffany Young's hand. She sits near the center of the front row, smiling, and a separate close-up she shared shows her wedding ring. She is the only married member of the group: in February this year she registered her marriage with actor Byun Yo-han, making them legally husband and wife. Her mature, composed presence at the center of the shot did not go unnoticed.

Girls' Generation debuted in 2007 with the single "Into the New World," and the anniversary is expected to be a big moment for the group. Members have spoken about 20th-anniversary plans in interviews, which has kept anticipation high among fans. Tiffany Young herself appeared in the musical Yumi's Cells through September 23rd.
