Former Gugudan main vocalist Soy tied the knot on August 16, posting wedding photos alongside a message to guests just hours before the ceremony began. In the photos, she wore an all-white bridal gown and smiled broadly, the kind of image that tends to bring a fandom's dormant group chat back to life.

Writing to her followers on social media, Soy kept her tone relaxed and warm. She said she had worried the August heat would make the day uncomfortable, but that the weather turned out cooler than expected. She thanked everyone who came and noted she was sorry she could not personally attend to each guest, adding that their presence alone meant everything. "We'll laugh and have a happy time together a little later," she wrote. "See you soon."

The groom is a lawyer, according to multiple reports. Soy first broke the news herself back in June, describing him as "the person who made my life more meaningful" and noting that she kept catching herself laughing constantly whenever they were together.

Soy debuted in 2016 as the main vocalist of Gugudan, a nine-member girl group under Jellyfish Entertainment. The group disbanded in December 2020 after about four and a half years together. Since then, Soy has been active primarily as a social media influencer, building her own platform independently of the K-pop industry she started in.

The early returns on the wedding post suggest her audience has followed her well past the group era. For fans who grew up watching Gugudan, today is one of those quiet milestone moments worth marking.
