IVE's Jang Wonyoung Wins PUBG on Her First-Ever PC Bang Visit at 23
Jang Wonyoung of IVE visited a PC bang for the first time at 23 and walked away with a PUBG chicken dinner. She posted the victory screen, game ID included, alongside a frank admission that she can't actually play.

Jang Wonyoung of IVE walked into a PC bang for the first time in her 23 years of life and immediately won a PUBG match. On the 20th, she posted a series of photos to her personal account with the caption "Back to game girl Pikachu, I'm actually bad at games," which is a bold thing to say when your next photo is a first-place kill screen.

The photos themselves are very Wonyoung. She's wearing an off-shoulder top and a floral necklace, her hair long and loose, a pink gaming headset on, winking at the camera like this is all completely normal. Then comes the PUBG screenshot: her in-game ID fully visible, the victory message reading "Winner Winner Chicken Dinner" in its Korean pun form. She also threw in a face-mask selfie from what looks like the same night, skincare between rounds, apparently.

Fan reactions were predictably loud. PUBG players in the comments said they felt an inexplicable kinship. Others flagged that she'd been playing on a room-block server, a more private setup popular in Korea, which prompted its own side conversation. The general vibe was delighted confusion.

Who Jang Wonyoung is, for context
Wonyoung first went national in 2018 when she placed first on Mnet's Produce 48, the survival show that assembled IZONE, the Korea-Japan crossover project group she debuted with as center. When IZONE wrapped its official activities in 2021, she returned to Starship Entertainment and re-debuted in December of that year as one of six members of IVE.
IVE has since built a clean run of hits, ELEVEN, LOVE DIVE, and After LIKE among them, and Wonyoung has become one of the more visible faces in the group, working as MC at major year-end music stages and award shows while holding ambassador roles for several global fashion brands.
The PC bang post, in that context, is a minor but genuinely charming break from the usual polish. She said she can't play. She won anyway. The Pikachu reference remains unexplained.
