Jang Dong-yoon announces October wedding to Kim Seung-yoon, marking their long creative journey
Jang Dong-yoon is set to marry fellow actress Kim Seung-yoon this October, having shared a heartfelt announcement on social media. The couple's connection, solidified through multiple projects, has captivated fans and drawn increased attention to Kim's burgeoning career.

Jang Dong-yoon, 34, has recently announced that he will marry actress Kim Seung-yoon, 29, in a private ceremony set for October. The couple's relationship has sparked significant interest, especially as they have collaborated on several creative projects over the years. Jang shared the news via social media on August 25, stating, "I am getting married this October to someone I have spent a long time with."

Their wedding will be a small affair, attended only by family, and will be conducted in a worship format. Jang reflected on his decision, noting the deep understanding and affection that has developed between them over time. "We have come to know each other in many ways, which has led us to mutually appreciate and care for each other more," he explained. He added, "Now, we have decided to help each other as partners, living happily and enjoyably together."

Kim Seung-yoon, born in 1997, made her debut in the 2019 KBS 2TV drama Chosun Romantic Comedy: Nokdu Flower, in which Jang played the lead role of Jeon Nok-du. Their professional relationship flourished with Kim appearing in Jang's directed short film Be My Ears (2023) and the recent film Nurook (2026). While the exact timeline of their romantic relationship remains private, their connection began with Nokdu Flower, and from there they have nurtured both a personal and collaborative bond.

In addition to her work with Jang, Kim has excelled in independent cinema, building her portfolio with films like In the Water (2023) and Miro (2025). She has also maintained a consistent presence on television, featured in dramas like Method and Eagle Five.
Jang, who has spoken about his views on marriage in past interviews, expressed a preference for finding a partner who shares similar aspirations. He once noted, "I hope to marry before I turn 40 and have always prayed for a partner who resonates with my ambitions." Jang, a 1992 birth year, gained fame as a college student when he helped catch a robber at a convenience store in Seoul, becoming a widely recognized figure in the media. He debuted as an actor in a web drama in 2016 and has since appeared in popular series such as School 2017 and Oasis.

As they prepare for this new chapter, fans are eager to see how their professional collaborations will evolve alongside their personal lives. Jang will also be featured in the upcoming Disney+ series The Miracle of the Namia Antique Shop, set to premiere in 2027.
