Six-Year Veteran vs. First Timer: Jisoo and Jang Wonyoung at Dior SS2027

IVE's Jang Wonyoung flew to Paris for the Dior 2027 spring/summer collection show on the 29th, and she arrived with a new haircut she had apparently been plotting for some time. In a social media story posted alongside her show-day photos, she described the style as a "mushroom cut" she had named and planned well before the event, waiting for this occasion to finally make the change.

The cut itself keeps the length of her existing hair while adding layered volume that curves inward from around the jawline, wrapping the face in a rounded, full silhouette. It reads as a refinement rather than a dramatic chop, which is exactly what makes it land so cleanly: the shape does something distinct without announcing itself. She wore the new style with a nude-tone sheer lace top and a black floral-accented skirt, finishing with a neck accessory that kept the whole look grounded.

She captioned the post "09.29.26 My first Dior show day" and followed up with backstage content spanning preparation, on-site moments, and a photo with Dior creative director Jonathan Anderson. The volume of what she shared was notable on its own: by the time she was done, she had posted dozens of pieces of content across stories and her main feed.

Two ambassadors, two approaches

The show also brought her together with BLACKPINK's Jisoo, who has been a Dior ambassador since 2021. The two crossed paths at the venue, exchanged a brief greeting, and the moment was caught on video. Both later posted from the same event, but the contrast in how they handled it was hard to miss. Jisoo published two pieces of content in connection with the show. Jang Wonyoung published dozens.

That gap is not a criticism of either. Jisoo has five years of Dior appearances behind her; a certain economy of presence makes sense at that point in a brand relationship. Jang Wonyoung, by contrast, is building one in real time. This show appearance marked her third Dior-related public move in October alone, following a run of outfits and appearances in the brand that began earlier in the month. No formal ambassador announcement has been made, but the pattern is clear enough.

The detail that gives it away, really, is the Anderson photo. Getting a one-on-one shot with the creative director and posting it is a specific kind of statement, and it is not the move of someone attending as a regular guest.
