Jennie's Fallen Angel Is Out: Blue Roses, Wire Stunts, and a Physical Album With 6 Tracks Arriving October 30
BLACKPINK's Jennie has released her new digital EP Fallen Angel, and the music video that accompanies the title track is already turning heads. Behind-the-scenes footage posted to her social media shows Jennie suspended upside-down on wires in full angel wings, facing high winds with a playful grin, and a physical edition with three exclusive bonus tracks is set for October 30.

BLACKPINK's Jennie released her digital EP Fallen Angel on the 28th, and within hours she was sharing behind-the-scenes footage of exactly how far she pushed herself to bring it to life: suspended upside-down on wires, angel wings spread, wind machine at full blast, and somehow still pulling faces at the crew between takes.
The images and clips, posted to her social media alongside a note urging fans to watch the music video immediately, quickly caught fire online. Comments ranged from "my angel is Jennie" to "this MV, what is happening?? incredible", enthusiasm that tracks with how visually ambitious the whole project turns out to be.

What the music sounds like
The title track centers on a lyrical acoustic guitar melody, which gives it a quietly confessional quality that sits in deliberate contrast to the visual drama of the video. Jennie's vocal here is restrained rather than showy, leaning into the emotional weight of the song's themes: the gap between a polished exterior and the inner search for real rest and freedom. It's the kind of performance that rewards a second listen once you've processed the visuals.
Also on the three-track digital EP is HEAVEN, which explores the complicated interior of a relationship where pain and pleasure are tangled together, rendered in a hazy, dreamlike sonic texture. The third track, Less than a Lover, was released back in July and topped major streaming charts domestically and internationally, giving the EP an already-proven anchor.

The music video details worth knowing
Beyond the wire stunt, the MV shoot involved a waist-deep water tank sequence and a striking visual motif: blue roses frozen inside blocks of ice. Jennie noted that the roses carry personal meaning, her mother gives her blue roses every year as a gift. That detail, quiet as it is, threads something genuinely intimate through a production that could easily have stayed purely aesthetic.
In between the more demanding setups, she flapped her wings theatrically for the camera and held mock-serious expressions for the crew, keeping the energy light. The behind-the-scenes footage also highlights a look that surprised fans: a sharp red sleeveless dress with a strong shoulder line and a new bob haircut, both of which gave the shoots a different atmosphere from anything in her recent visual catalog.
What's coming in October
The physical edition of Fallen Angel, due October 30, expands the release to six tracks. Alongside the three digital EP songs, it includes three exclusive tracks: sweettooth, lockitdown, and Face, none of which appear in any digital release. Pre-orders opened on the 26th and sold out immediately, a signal that the physical run may be tight for fans who haven't already secured a copy.
