The BLACKPINK member and solo artist, who is managed by OA Entertainment (ODDATELIER), performed as the final act of the night at one of North America's largest music festivals. Lollapalooza Chicago runs across eight stages, draws more than 400,000 attendees over its run, and has operated since 1991. Jennie's name appeared on the lineup alongside Charli XCX, Lorde, and Olivia Dean.

Two moments sharpened the set. Jennie gave the first official live performance of her recent single Less than a Lover, a song she co-wrote and co-composed that sits in the emotional territory between a romance and a friendship. Fans in the crowd sang along in full from the first chorus. Later in the night she debuted a second, entirely unannounced track, which lifted the energy noticeably and is already drawing speculation about an upcoming release.

OA Entertainment described the performance as confirming Jennie's standing as a global artist, pointing to the range of arrangements across the set and the consistency of her live delivery. Given how deliberately her team has managed her solo rollout since leaving YG Entertainment, the Lollapalooza closing slot feels less like a breakthrough and more like the next logical point on a clear upward line.

Jennie's festival run continues on August 14 at Summer Sonic 2026 in Japan. The early returns on this run suggest the ceiling here is still being measured.
