Photographer Releases Unseen Jeon Ji-hyun Wedding Portraits From 2012 Elle Shoot
Previously unreleased wedding portraits of actress Jeon Ji-hyun, shot around the time of her 2012 marriage, have resurfaced after photographer Kim Boha shared them through her studio's official channels. The images, originally tied to a pre-wedding shoot with Elle Korea, show Jeon in multiple bridal looks and have drawn wide attention online for how little she appears to have changed.

Photographer Kim Boha, founder and director of studio The Third Mind, recently posted a series of previously unreleased wedding portraits of actress Jeon Ji-hyun on her official social media and studio website. The images date back roughly 14 years, connected to a pre-wedding shoot Jeon did with Elle Korea about a week before her 2012 marriage, and their release has renewed conversation about one of Korean entertainment's most enduring public figures.

The photos show Jeon in several distinct bridal looks: a full-volume white wedding gown, a sleek white suit paired with a veil, and variations on both, with her hair styled alternately pulled back and worn long and straight. What has drawn the most comment online is not the styling itself but how closely the images resemble Jeon as she appears today. Several users noted that the 14-year gap is almost imperceptible.

Kim Boha also released a short video compiling moments from the shoot, including candid frames of Jeon between poses, her expression relaxed and unguarded in the way that set photographs rarely capture. Those off-guard moments have circulated separately from the formal portraits, adding texture to what might otherwise have been a straightforward archival release.

Jeon Ji-hyun, born in 1981, married Choi Jun-hyuk, CEO of Alpha Asset Management, in 2012. The couple have two sons. She had already established herself as one of Korea's most recognizable actresses by that point, a status the renewed attention to these photographs reflects rather than creates.

For Kim Boha, the release is a reminder that the work photographers do for major celebrity shoots often stays in archives long after its moment. That unseen images from a high-profile 2012 editorial can generate this level of engagement in 2025 says something about both Jeon's sustained cultural presence and the appetite for behind-the-scenes material from that era of Korean celebrity culture.
