Jeon So-min Opens Up About Giving Up Marriage and Children, Drawing Attention
Actress Jeon So-min has made candid remarks about her views on marriage and children, stating she wants to "break the family line" and prioritize happiness with her future spouse instead. Her honest and refreshing perspective continues to resonate with audiences.

Actress Jeon So-min has recently drawn attention by sharing her honest thoughts on children, following her earlier candid remarks about marriage.
On April 11, a new video titled "We're Still the Same After All This Time | Seok Sam Play Season 1" was released on the YouTube channel 'Jipyeonhan Saesan.' The episode featured Lee Mi-joo, Lee Sang-yeop, and Jeon So-min as guests. With Lee Sang-yeop now a married man, the conversation naturally turned to plans for children. When Lee Sang-yeop expressed his preference for having a daughter, the hosts posed the same question to Jeon So-min.

However, Jeon So-min firmly responded, "Oppa, I think I'm different," before declaring, "I just want my future husband and I to live happily together. I'm going to break the family line." Her candid statement drew laughter from the set. She then added practical concerns: "We'll need to discuss it carefully, but I'm 41 years old. When would I have children and when would I raise them? It's too exhausting."
Her characteristically honest remarks sparked laughter while resonating with viewers, especially given her previous statements on marriage. Jeon So-min recently appeared on Kim Ji-seok's YouTube channel 'Jewels Within Me,' where she explored her doubts about marriage. "If I don't get married, will it be difficult? Will there be a sense of loss from not doing what everyone else does?" she questioned.

She continued, "I don't understand what you gain from marriage. There's happiness, but I don't see why it's absolutely necessary," challenging conventional wisdom. Jeon So-min also discussed her concerns as an actress, candidly stating, "It's been a long time since I've done a drama. I want to do one. Please call me," while sharing updates on her current work in theater.
She further reflected, "Sometimes I think I've let go of my dreams," and expressed, "Letting go of something you can't perfectly achieve is also a choice. Once I released that burden, I actually felt like 'I don't have to accomplish this,' and it freed me." Her shift in perspective has drawn considerable attention.
With her forthright views on marriage and children that break from conventional expectations, Jeon So-min continues to draw empathy from many with her realistic concerns and values expressed with humor.
