Jewelry Pulled Off a Full Reunion After 20 Years, and the Tears Were Real

K-pop girl group Jewelry stepped back onto a stage together as a complete unit on the 12th, reuniting all four members, Park Jung-ah, Lee Ji-hyun, Seo In-young, and Cho Min-ah, for the first time in two decades. The occasion was KBS2's Immortal Songs, Episode 773, broadcast live from the 2026 NEW WAVE Festival at Ulsan's Taehwa River National Garden in front of roughly 10,000 people.

The set opened with Seo In-young performing solo before the full group came together for a string of signature hits: One More Time, Ni-ga Cham Joa, Tonight, and Super Star. All four members dressed in matching all-white outfits, and if the two decades between their last complete performance and this one left any visible mark, the crowd in Ulsan didn't seem to find it. The signature ET dance and "털기" (shaking) choreography drew roaring responses from the audience.

Behind the curtain

The broadcast included candid moments from rehearsals and backstage, and Jewelry didn't sugarcoat the difficulty of getting back into form. "Dancing in heels like we used to was hard," the group admitted. "The moment we turned around, our minds went blank." Seo In-young added her own emotional punctuation after the performance wrapped: "Maybe it's menopause, but I'm tearing up again," she said, drawing warm laughter and genuine feeling from everyone present.

That warmth carried through their social media posts as well. Cho Min-ah, now working as a financial planner and raising her son solo after her divorce, shared photos from the night on her personal account, including a shot with her young son Kang-ho in her arms backstage. Her caption thanked Lee Ji-hyun and the group for looking after both her and Kang-ho: "A stage after 20 years has made such a precious memory. Jewelry forever."

Fan reaction

The response online was affectionate and a little wistful. Comments leaned into the group's obvious genuine closeness, with viewers noting things like "It really feels like they're true friends now" and "They've all got kids of their own at this point." Several fans flagged how strong the vocals still sounded, with one comment capturing the general mood: "I wish they'd perform more often. Everyone's voice is still incredible, which makes it even more of a shame."

The episode itself had plenty more to offer beyond the Jewelry reunion. The festival lineup included crossover group Forestella reinterpreting Bohemian Rhapsody, Lee Seung-gi working the crowd with his own catalog of hits, and MC Lee Chan-won performing a localized rendition of Ulsan Arirang. Click-B brought nostalgia of their own with Baekjeonmupae, while the night's most touching cross-generational moment belonged to Seo In-young and rising singer Dayoung, who performed the Jewelry classic Cinderella together. Dayoung, who has spoken openly about Seo In-young being her childhood role model, recreated the original outfit and heels down to the last detail.

For Jewelry, though, the night belonged to the four of them. Twenty years is a long time in any industry, and watching Park Jung-ah, Lee Ji-hyun, Seo In-young, and Cho Min-ah sing their way through those songs in matching white in front of 10,000 people, it was clear none of them had forgotten a single note of what made the group matter in the first place.
